The 2.0 liter turbo four responds well to simple bolt-ons once it's tuned.

  1. Start with a tune

    Easy

A quality flash tune or piggyback is the biggest gain for the money on a turbo N20. Every part below works best with a tune set up for it.

Plugs into the OBD port. Pick a reputable tuner and run the fuel it was built for.

  2. Front mount intercooler

    Moderate

Keeps intake temps down so the car makes the same power on the fifth pull as the first, especially in summer.

    F3X FMIC KIT - N20/N26/N55 ARM Motorsports F3X FMIC KIT - N20/N26/N55 From $447.00
  3. Downpipe

    Moderate

Frees up the restriction right after the turbo for quicker spool and more top end. Pair it with your tune.

    N20 DOWNPIPE - F30 320I/328I ARM Motorsports N20 DOWNPIPE - F30 320I/328I $217.00
  4. One step colder spark plugs

    Easy

Cheap insurance against misfires once you add boost. Gap them to your tuner's spec.

Gains depend on the car, fuel and tune. Tuning and exhaust changes can affect your warranty and emissions compliance, and catless parts are for off-road and competition use only. Check the laws where you live before you install.
